Rules & Regulations

At Maharishi International School, rules and regulations are designed to create a safe, disciplined, respectful, and conducive learning environment that promotes academic excellence, character development, and personal growth. These guidelines ensure that all members of our school community can thrive in an atmosphere of mutual respect, responsibility, and shared values.


1. Students must attend school regularly and be punctual to all classes, assemblies, and school activities.
2. Prior written application from parents/guardians is required for planned leave of absence.
3. In case of illness, a medical certificate must be submitted upon return.
4. Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly, completely, and with dignity at all times.
5. Proper grooming standards must be maintained including appropriate hairstyle and personal hygiene.
6. Improper dress, accessories, or appearance not conforming to school standards is strictly prohibited.
7. Sports uniform is mandatory during physical education and sports activities.
8. Identity cards must be worn visibly at all times on school premises.
9. Students must maintain exemplary discipline inside classrooms, corridors, and throughout school premises.
10. Respectful behavior towards teachers, staff, peers, and visitors is mandatory at all times.
11. Use of foul language, bullying, harassment, or disrespectful behavior is strictly prohibited and will invite immediate disciplinary action.
12. Fighting, aggressive behavior, or violence of any form will result in serious consequences including suspension.
13. Students must follow instructions from teachers and staff promptly and respectfully.
14. Damaging or vandalizing school property including desks, walls, books, library resources, laboratory equipment, technology devices, or any school assets will invite strict disciplinary action and full cost recovery from parents.
15. Students must handle all school resources with care and responsibility.
16. Littering or defacing school premises is strictly prohibited.
17. Lost or damaged library books and equipment must be replaced or paid for.
18. Mobile phones, electronic gadgets, gaming devices, or any non-academic technology are strictly banned within school premises during school hours.
19. Violation of this policy will result in confiscation of devices and parent consultation.
20. Students must maintain excellent personal hygiene and cleanliness standards.
21. Classrooms, corridors, and school premises must be kept clean and tidy.
22. Proper waste disposal in designated bins is mandatory.
23. Students should wash hands regularly and follow health protocols.
24. Spitting, littering, or unhygienic behavior is strictly prohibited..
